The library’s Board of Trustees selected Mills+Schnoering Architects, LLC (M+Sa) to conduct this preliminary economic study, which details: parameters related to the size and location of the museum, a needs assessment, financial analysis, a building program and engineering description, and information about implementation and sustainability.

The study will be made available on the library web site — www.acfpl.org — and Atlantic City Experience web site — www.atlanticcityexperience.org.

M+Sa led a research team that included financial feasibility studies expert The Eisen Group, Langan Engineering, cost consultant Becker & Frondorf and museum exhibition planner/design consultant Van Sickle and Rolleri Ltd.

M+Sa is a full-service architectural firm based in Princeton with broad experience in planning, design and historic preservation. Its areas of expertise include cultural facilities, courthouses, campus planning and design, and the preservation, restoration and adaptive use of historical buildings and sites.

The firm is currently working with the National Park Service to design Life Safety Improvements for the Statue of Liberty. Locally, M+Sa’s portfolio includes the redesign of the Alton Auditorium at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.

The Atlantic City Free Public Library, a service of the City of Atlantic City, houses the Atlantic City Heritage Collections – an extensive collection of published and unpublished materials related to Atlantic City history, including photographs, newspaper articles, city directories, yearbooks, maps and memorabilia. Many of these resources are available on the library’s Atlantic City Experience® website. The library also manages the Atlantic City Historical Museum on Garden Pier.
